今日は ひな祭り について紹介します。

日本は季節による年中行事が多いですね。明日は年に1度のひな祭りです。

ひな祭りとは（What is Hinamatsuri?）

毎年3月3日、女の子の健やかな成長を祈る行事です。女の子のいる家ではひな人形を飾ります。内裏雛が主役で、これに三人官女や五人囃子、また家財道具など、その地方、家によって色々なバージョンがあります。また、雄雛、雌雛の左右の配置は地域や時代によって違います。

今頃気が付いたのですが、「うれしいひなまつり」の歌詞は間違っているそうです。内裏雛とは男女二人のことを指し、天皇・皇后を模したモノです。

ひな人形はひな祭りが終わったらすぐに片付けないと、その家の娘は行き遅れるとのしきたりも残っていますね。

私は小さい頃から、父の仕事による引っ越しが多かったことから、お雛様はショーケースの中のコンパクトな物でした。友達の家に遊びに行くと階段状になって、赤い毛氈がひかれた立派なひな人形がうらやましくてしょうがありませんでした。今は私はどこで買ったのか、何焼きなのか忘れましたが、ここ20年ほどはこの焼き物のウサギのお雛様を飾っています。目の表情がとても気に入っています。

In addition, the left and right placement of male and female bina differs depending on the region and time. I noticed this time that the lyrics of "Happy Hinamatsuri" are wrong. Dairi Bina refers to both man and woman, and imitates the emperor and empress. There is a tradition that the daughter of the house will be late if the Hina dolls are not cleaned up as soon as the Hinamatsuri is over.

Since I was little, I used to move a lot because of my father's work, so Ohina-sama was a compact thing in the showcase. When I went to visit my friend's house, I couldn't help but envy the magnificent Hina dolls that had stairs and red felt.

Now I forgot where I bought it and where the pottery is, but for the last 20 years I've been decorating this pottery rabbit hina. I really like the expression of the eyes.

ひな祭りの日の料理（Hinamatsuri Day Cooking）

ちらしずしやハマグリのお吸い物を食し、白酒を飲みます。また、雛あられや菱餅も飾ったり食べたりします。

ハマグリのお吸い物に入っているハマグリには意味があります。ハマグリは2枚貝で、貝殻は同じ個体のものでないとぴったりと合わさらないことから、女性が一生同じ人と添い遂げられるようにということです。

そしてハマグリを使う貝合わせという遊びに使う貝は、明治維新前までは公家や大名家の娘の嫁入り道具の一つだったそうです。貝の内部には金箔や極彩色で、平安時代の宮中の美しい絵が描かれています。このような美しい貝はメトロポリタン美術館でも見ることができます。

白酒は焼酎またはみりんをベースに作られたお酒で、アルコール分は約9%あります。

雛あられはうるち米の乾飯か豆を炒ったモノに砂糖がけした物です。色にも意味があり、白色は雪、緑色は木々の芽、桃色は生命だそうです。私は小さい頃、このお菓子をよく食べたものです。

菱餅はひし形のお餅で、緑、白、桃色の三層になっています。

Eat chirashizushi and clam soup and drink white sake. We also decorate and eat Hina-arare and Hishi mochi.

The clams in the clam soup are meaningful. Clams are two-shelled clams, and the shells must be of the same individual to fit perfectly, so that women can stay with the same person for the rest of their lives.

And before the Meiji Restoration, the shellfish used for the play of shellfish matching using clams was one of the wedding tools for the daughters of court nobles and daimyo families. The inside of the shell is gold leaf and colorful, and a beautiful picture of the Imperial Palace during the Heian period is drawn. Such beautiful shells can also be seen at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Shirozake is a sake made based on shochu or mirin, and has an alcohol content of about 9%.

Hina-arare is made by roasting dried rice and beans with sugar. The color also has meaning, white is snow, green is tree buds, and pink is life. I used to eat this snacks when I was little.

Hishi mochi is a diamond-shaped mochi with three layers of green, white, and pink.
